Okra or ladies-finger as its called in many parts of the world. Okra improves your heart health and lowers your risk of oxidative damage and blood clots. The best way to know if the okra is young and crisp is to try and break the thin tail of on of them. If it breaks clean and easy then its good. If its getting crushed and fibrous then its mature and is not preferred from a taste perspective. Today i am going to share a crispy okra recipe.
This is an easy recipe to make. All it requires is the okra itself and a few spices. And you could whip up a tasty dish. It’s healthy dish to cook up. It can be had by itself or with Roti- Indian Flat Bread or use it as sandwich filling with a slice of cheese.
Crispy Okra Recipe
A vegan favorite
- 2 Cups Okra
- 1 tsp rock salt / 1/2 tsp normal salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 red chilli powder
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp flour
- Step 1 Slice the Okra vertically.
- Step 2 Mix all the ingredients except the oil together and mix well.
- Step 3 Heat a pan on high flame with the oil . Wait till the oil heats up.
- Step 4 Add the Okra mixed with the flour, salt and spices.
- Step 5 Stir-Fry for 10-12 mins.

Slice the Okra vertically.
