Daliya Khichdi | Bulgur Hotpot Recipe

Daliya Khichdi | Bulgur Khichdi recipe is close to my heart. Whenever i had to whip up something yum for my kids but was also healthy and good for kids nourishment i always fell back on this recipe. This is a very easy and quick recipe to make. Highly recommended for those with a hectic schedule and but still prefer to eat healthy and tasty.

The dish is full of veggies and the benefits of broken wheat are many. They are full of fiber, full of minerals and a complete meal. Also those who want to get rid of that “Paunchy Tummy” Daliya is the way to go. Replacing this as the main grain consumed can help reduce flab and paunch. Its also a boon for those who are diabetic and want to explore a lifestyle based solution rather than an insulin based solution.

Tips

I have used a quick recipe which used a pressure cooker. You can soak the Daliya and Moong Dal overnight and cook in an open pan.

I have used tempering , however this is completely optional and serves to enhance taste. Health conscious people can simply skip the tempering and consume it straight. It tastes yum !
