Paniyappam is one of my favorite dishes. Its versatile, Aesthetic and the best part its easy to cook and serve. As a family which has batter all the time at home , dishes like Paniyappam and Uttappam are quite easy to make.
In India batter is something you can buy in the supermarket. However i prefer to make it at home. In case you want to know how to make batter you can take a look at my Idly Recipe. Simply replicate the batter part.

Easy dish to make.
- Rice and Dal Batter
- 1/2 cup grated carrot
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cilantro leaves
- salt to taste
- Step 1 Mix all the ingredients well.
- Step 2 Put them into the Paniriyam case
- Step 3 Cover it and cook it for 2 mins.
- Step 4 Flip with a spoon and cook for another 2 mins.
- Step 5 Serve hot with mint chutney/ coconut chutney or a dip of your choice.

There ! This quick and easy but yum exotic recipe is done. Its a great thing to cook for your kids when they come in hungry. This is also a healthy snack to make for your guests. This can also serve as an interesting side dish on a buffet set up.
